Halloween Parade and Party

Fun was had by all at the Halloween parade and party!  It was so much fun seeing everyone dressed up and then traveling through the school.  The older kids and teachers love to see us coming!  Back in the room we enjoyed yummy treats!  Thank to everyone who was able to come or send in a treat!  Happy Halloween!  

Halloween Sugar Cookie Decorating

Today we had a special treat during Explore and Play.  Caden's mom and dad came in with sugar cookies, lots of frosting, plenty of sprinkles and candy corn!  What fun!  The kids got to decorate 3 cookies, 1 they ate at school and 2 they brought home!  

Cookies were enjoyed by one and all!  Thank you to the Berry's for this special treat!  

Our Bird Masks from Art Class

In Art class today the kids made bird masks.  They designed and decorated 

their own mask.  They had a great time making them and I am sure 

they will have fun playing with them at home!

We painted and decorated our own pumpkins to make a pumpkin patch.  We twisted the vine (a great strong hands activity) and made leaves to finish our patch! What a nice pumpkin patch!  

Field Trip to Wolfe Neck Farm - October 2013

Our Field Trip to Wolfe Neck Farm

On October 10th we went on a field trip to see the animals at the farm and to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.  We first took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch.  We talked about the life cycle of a pumpkin.  The children acted out from a seed to a pumpkin.  There were a lot of great pumpkin to choose from!  

After our ride back to the barn, we meet some of the animals they have on the farm.  We got to feed and pet the duck and rabbit.  We watched the turkeys and pigs.  We got to pet the oreo cow and we visit with a horse.  Inside the barn we saw chickens, goats, and sheep.  

It was a great morning on the farm!  Thanks to the parents that were able to join us!  We made a class book of our trip that will come home for families to see.
